So….I’m releasing a thing. There’ll be a fancier announcement later, I’m sure, but for now, I wanted to share this thing with you all:
If you like Sherlock Holmes, cozy fantasy, the beauty inherent in kindness, or funky magic systems, this thing might be for you!
So…what is it?
A fantasy detective series, published serially and delivered straight to your email inbox (much in the style of Dracula Daily). The first chapter of the first case in the series will be released on May 29th, with new chapters coming every Sunday thereafter.
Kyle should be the most op lantern not only because he is a good boy and he earned it but also because it’s funny. Like you have these men who are intimidating and also outright insane, you have kilowog who is the size of a house, you have an alien volcano who literally spews lava out of his head, you have a furry’s wet dream, you have fucking Space Superman
and they’re like yeah here’s our strongest member, and they point to a skinny wimp in an Aerosmith shirt sketching anime titties.
was gonna make a joke post that was like ‘riverdale is a better comic book adaptation than the mcu’ but then I thought abt it more and I keep seeing people say ‘oh riverdale is disrespectful to archie comics it used to be a cute all american story abt a guy who can’t choose between 2 girls and now there’s gangs and time travel and murder smh’ but marvel/dc comic books in general as well as archie comics are often a style of storytelling where the characters never age or age only when it’s relevant to the story (in riverdale the characters are both 17 and 25 in 2021 and the show exists in a sort of out-of-time universe where characters use both modern and outdated technology), often utilize multiverses or parallel universes (rivervale, the jughead paradox) and are usually written by multiple different writers and artists over many years meaning that the characters often change how they look or act, and the storylines often seem confusing or incomprehensible to outsiders and usually change drastically from run to run (I don’t even need to explain how this applies to riverdale). riverdale is probably the only comic adaptation that genuinely reflects this and its nonsensicality and absurdist tone perfectly fits the source material. in conclusion riverdale is a better comic book adaptation than the mcu and jughead could beat dr strange in a fight
“do you still like her? after all she did?” yes, i do, because she’s a fictional character and liking her doesn’t mean anything about my irl principles or morals. in fact, i think it’s very important for you, kevin, to learn the difference between fiction and real life. people are allowed to like fictional characters with questionable morals/actions without meaning they want something like that to happen irl.
listen, i know they’re evil. i know they’re a villain. i know they’re completely unhinged and off the rails. i know they’re a little bit of a bastard, and i know that they’re a sneaky, tricky bitch. and you know what? i love them for it
people need to realise that a poor little meow meow must be a character who has committed atrocities you cannot poor little meow meow a good guy that’s not how this works
what this post has shown me is that so many of people on this hellsite cannot distinguish between a poor little meow meow and a blorbo from my shows smh
Hope this helps!
However, keep in mind that if you haven’t seen or read all of the media involved, the person little-meow-meow-ing your blorbo may simply know more about their actions than you do.
